A number of suburbs will benefit from improving infrastructure in Perth including Burswood and West Perth.
With the airport rail starting this year, due for completion in 2020, this will have a positive effect on suburbs such as Forrestfield, Bayswater and Midland. With the new St John of God Public Hospital in Midland, should start to see an increase of its median house price in the near future.
The Max Light Rail Project, due for completion in 2022, will increase the value of nearby suburbs including Mirrabooka, Dianella and Ballajura.
It is also important to consider work in progress when looking for development opportunities. For example, the outer northern coastal suburbs will benefit from the extension of the Mitchell Freeway such as Butler, Alkimos and Yanchep.
A trend that isn’t likely to fade is affordable neighbouring suburbs. As people get priced out of the most popular suburbs, they start looking at neighbouring areas. Ashfield is a cheaper alternative to Bassendean, as is Spearwood to Coogee. The works occuirng at Cockburn Central will also benefit Spearwood and surrounding areas.
