If your area has just been re-zoned, you might now be eligible for subdivision where you were not before. The council requires that you obtain consent from your local body before any works go ahead. In this, they will assess your land size and the zoning that applies to your property. The council will want to know the arrangement of the proposed houses, fences, driveways and any other expansion on the property with close attention paid to lots that are of irregular shape or on the smaller side. Do not, however, be discouraged if your property falls into one of these categories. We will be able to tell you what will work best to ensure you maximise the potential of your land.
